The Slothful Man

The following is a quote from Wilson on Proverbs 26:13-16 (this is not a promotion or an endorsement of Wilson as a true Christian).
"The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion in the way; a lion [is] in the streets. [As] the door turneth upon his hinges, so [doth] the slothful upon his bed. The slothful hideth his hand in [his] bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. The sluggard [is] wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason" (Proverbs 26:13-16).
"Certain functionaries have been asleep at their desk so long that one side of their head is flat. When they get home they wear themselves out trying to decide between sitting down to do nothing or lying down to do nothing. He digs his hand into the crinkly bag, but the Cheeto is too heavy to get back to his mouth. But he is always ready with an explanation" (Douglas Wilson, Ploductivity: A Practical Theology of Work & Wealth).
